How it works
That is a long time to hear about when you have just lost someone, so it is worth knowing where the time goes.
It comes down to a single question: whether we already have your granite. About half the time we do. When we do not, the quarrying and the shipping take five to six months on their own.
Bronze markers work the same way. We design the plaque with you and place the order, and bronze usually takes about three months to arrive.
Your cemetery decides the size and type of stone, so we start by asking where they are buried.
We draw the stone and change it until your family agrees on it.
We keep the most common sizes and colors in stock, though the yard is small. If yours is there, this step disappears. If it has to be quarried and shipped, it is five to six months on its own, and it is nearly all of the wait.
The lettering is cut, and we install the finished stone at the cemetery.

While the stone is in transit, the design is finished and the cemetery pours the foundation it will sit on. We handle that paperwork with them, so there is nothing here for you to chase.
Stone travels a long way, and storms and port delays are outside anyone's hands. This is the most common reason a job runs late.
Original carving and unusual shapes sit outside the normal range. They are a small share of what we make, and we will say so at the start.
Some families settle on a design in a week. Others take months, especially when several people are weighing in. Both are normal, and we would rather it was right than fast.
