Adding a name to a stone that is already there
We can add names and dates for spouses, partners and other family members when the time comes.
This is called a second inscription. We sandblast the new lettering in place, at the grave. Nothing is removed, nothing is taken back to the shop, and the grave is never left bare while the work happens.
Matching lettering we did not cut
If the original was set decades ago, its typeface may not exist in any digital form. We take a rubbing from the stone itself, hand-carve templates to match the letters, and cut the new name in the same hand as the old one.
If we set the original, we very likely still have the record.
